The project is not the most complex but quite demanding due to the large number of offline product distribution points and the mediocre current optimization of brand pages, including listings.
Over the course of a year of collaboration between Luxeo and LV Cannabis Boutique, the following results were achieved:
How did we achieve this?
Thailand is a free and progressive region where more is permitted than in many other countries worldwide. This includes the unrestricted sale of cannabis, an industry with hundreds of entrepreneurs operating simultaneously. As a result, competition is at its peak, making it challenging to ensure that your establishment becomes popular and recognizable among the audience. Such was the case with LV Cannabis Boutique.
This challenge became the foundation of our collaboration.
The main requirements were as follows:
A preliminary review of the project immediately revealed several weaknesses that hindered the brand from effectively generating leads. However, as we suspected, the problems turned out to be much more extensive. This was largely because the business focused primarily on offline visitors and paid minimal attention to online content. As a result, we had to divide the work into two main parts:
Challenges arose right from the start. Numerous issues, both organizational and purely technical, surfaced and required a comprehensive approach from the very first stages of the work.
Since the business focuses on offline sales points, it is less dependent on digital technologies and search engine rankings. At the same time, its visibility on specialized platforms, such as Google Business and Google Maps, could significantly improve profitability. The company’s profile was present, but its effectiveness… Well, we’ll show everything shortly.
To find the root of the problem, we needed to examine the current state of the business. Specifically, we looked at the success metrics of each individual sales point. And so we did. The results, to put it mildly, did not impress us. Here are a few examples:

Seems like decent results, right? But this is just for one month—it could have been better.
Note that these are only a few examples of the analysis results and performance comparison between November 2023 and October of the same year. Also, this section doesn’t include locations that opened during the past year, as we optimized them immediately, including through proactive advertising. So, the results there are somewhat better—more on that later.
Based on the analysis results above, we concluded that:
Okay, the root of the problem is clear. But what are competitors doing to stay on top? As of November 2023, this still had to be determined. And that’s exactly what we focused on next.
Cannabis shops and related products are a common and widespread phenomenon in Thailand. So, we didn’t have to spend much time finding market leaders and analyzing their advertising strategies.
You wouldn’t believe it, but the results impressed us. Competitors weren’t doing anything special. Not at all. Here’s what we found:
Well, honestly, this is the basics. Moreover, there was no direct advertising or CTA, which means customers are actively searching for these establishments and trusting them. Interesting, right?
That’s when we decided not to reinvent the wheel but to focus on improving the existing one. In other words, we optimized the technical and SEO components of LV Cannabis Boutique. It didn’t happen immediately, but gradually and purposefully.
Based on the results of the analytics, we created a roadmap, which included:
And that’s not all. We also focused on the reputation part, organizing a “review bombing” for both new and old brand profile pages. But more on that later — now let’s discuss the main steps we took together with the client for their online promotion and presence on certain specialized platforms.
It may seem like there’s nothing difficult about the project: just take the ready-made concept and apply it. But no, in practice, things are more complicated. Specifically, when it comes to improving the business’s online visibility.
The main issue is the business’s focus on offline audiences, so online marketing had to be developed almost from scratch. The key challenges were the variety of sales points and the need to optimize the online component of each one. Therefore, we had to use somewhat unconventional methods, which you’ll learn about next.
A listing is a profile, its information, and the ToV (Tone of Voice). We needed to create 4+1 positions for each individual store. Why +1? Because another sales point is planned to open soon in a new location. Okay, that’s the background.
Here’s what we did in the context of this task:

Confirmed business presence | We passed location verification through a special Google service, uploading real photos and videos of the establishments. |

Added some interactivity | This included the ability for quick communication with management and instant route building to the establishment. |
Expanded the audience | We duplicated the profiles in Apple Maps Business to cover the entire potential customer base. |
P.S. In the descriptions, we added keywords and phrases to improve the profile’s indexing by the search engine. However, this was just the beginning.
Note that the LV Cannabis Boutique brand sells products not only to locals but also to tourists, so we needed to reach this audience as well. Accordingly, we couldn’t bypass creating a profile on Tripadvisor. Moreover, we had to gather real reviews from satisfied customers, which turned out to be quite an easy task.
So, Tripadvisor doesn’t have any special requirements for filling out a profile, so we decided not to reinvent the wheel but instead used a pre-optimized text about the company, added a few photos, and voilà:

Even more, the profile already has several reviews from satisfied customers. The new brand strategy is to encourage visitors to leave comments and reviews. Considering the moderation and review time, we do not expect immediate results, but we are doing everything possible to keep the rating at 5 stars.
It’s clear that for offline stores, the website doesn’t play a central role. However, it improves the brand’s visibility online, generates traffic, and therefore promotes the business among potential customers. That’s why we also focused on this marketing element. Specifically:
And we focused a lot on social media, as they are currently one of the most effective lead-generation tools. We set up targeting, added interesting and useful content, and various guides. We also invested somewhat in Meta ADS to guarantee subscribers and stable customers. We didn’t neglect platforms like Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest. It worked. However, in the long run, we plan to shift to purely organic advertising and mainly work through local services.
It was quite easy to check the effectiveness of our work. It was enough to use popular keywords in the region of “Thailand,” and LV Cannabis Boutique and its locations immediately appeared in the search results. But is that enough? Of course not.
Therefore, the next stage was generating reviews, which turned out to be quite an easy task compared to the other operations.Yes, together with the client, we organized a temporary promotion: a bonus for a review. The essence of it was as follows:
Everyone is happy. We get reviews, and the customers get bonuses.
In this way, our locations received nearly the highest number of positive reviews among establishments of this type. This also affected the ranking of the points of sale and pushed the business into the top 3 search results for certain keywords.

At the same time, we acted proactively. Yes, the positive rating with an average of 4.9 stars on GMB will allow the other locations to progress faster, even the new ones. However, that’s a task for the future.
The popularity and profitability of the brand rely not only on the level of service but also on how well the business presents itself to the public. The latter requires continuous work, analysis, and updates. That’s why we have signed a long-term agreement with LV Cannabis Boutique for ongoing support and the gradual expansion of their marketing campaign in the Thai market.
As of now, we have provided several advertising algorithms for the brand and are working on a new, quite unconventional one. However, the exact strategy we will use will be determined a bit later when we receive a comprehensive analysis of the current campaign. In the meantime, let’s share the results we have achieved in less than a year.
The last 12 months have been productive for both LV Cannabis Boutique and Luxeo. Together, we have achieved what would have been impossible under normal circumstances. For example, we increased foot traffic to offline stores, the website, the number of calls, messages, and mapped routes. If this isn’t success, then what would success look like?
